Illustrious Brother Fishback was born in Kahoka, Missouri on February 22, 1928. He was retired from the United Stated Navy and Hartford Steam Boiler Company as an Engineer. He moved to Sun City Center, Florida from Hartford, Connecticut in 1986.

Illustrious Brother Fishback began his Masonic career in Pearl Harbor Blue Lodge No. 598, Honolulu, Hawaii, on October 28, 1963, and became a Dual Member with DeSoto Blue Lodge No. 105, Riverview, Florida on March 11, 1997. Ill. Brother Fishback served as Lodge Secretary for six years, and was District Chairman for Public Education and Citizenship Committee for two years.

Ill. Brother Fishback was a member of the United Community Church in Sun City Center and was very active in various community organizations. He was Past Secretary of the Sun City Center Scottish Rite Club, President of Sun City Center Shrine Club, Sun City Center Men’s Club, Hi-Twelve Club and former Chief of Security Patrol for Sun City Center. In 1993 he was selected by his peers as Sun City Center Man of the Year.

Ill. Fishback petitioned the Valley of Tampa and became a Master of the Royal Secret in 1996. His dedication and effort on behalf of the Valley of Tampa and Scottish Rite led him to being invested with the Rank and Dignity of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 2001.

Ill. Brother Fishback served as Assistant Editor for the Scottish Rite Bulletin from 2000 to 2004, when he then became the Editor until 2008. He became a Scottish Rite Perpetual Member on November 2, 2002 and his Scottish Rite career culminated at which time when he was coroneted a Thirty-third Degree Inspector General Honorary in 2007.

Ill. Fishback was truly a dedicated Freemason; a Mason’s Mason. In every facet of his life, the lessons of Freemasonry were always at the forefront of his actions.
